"THE GOLDEN BALL RUN" JULY 2010 CROSS COUNTRY RIDE

Event Information:

The next BMTB group ride is to be our July Summer 2010 XC Group Ride. This event is open for Cross Country (XC) riders of all levels of ability. The Group Ride will be a led route by our BMTB staff riders and will be held on local trails from Coombe Hill to West Wycombe before returning.

This event is free of charge.

The ride will be starting promptly at 10:30am so please be at the Coombe Hill main car park in good time to get kitted up (especially if arriving by car) to avoid delays. The ride WILL be starting promptly at 10:30am.

Route information for the day:

This ride will be our long Summer special ride. The route will be approximately 25 miles starting and finishing at Coombe Hill. The route will take in some of the finest singletrack and fireroads in and around Coombe Hill, Chequers, Cadsden, Lacey Green, West Wycombe, Bradenham and Great Hampden. The route from Coombe to the Golden Ball are the route from the Golden Ball from Coombe are both different to keep the ride varied and exciting.

For this ride leave yourself four hours as the ride time may depend on group and rider ability.

There is the option to join us for just for the first leg of the route if you wish (i.e. just ride Coombe to the Golden Ball)
 

Getting there:

From Butlers Cross (HP17 0), take the Missenden Road Southbound towards Great Missenden. After about one mile take the left turn signposted for Dunsmore. Follow this road for another mile or so and you will see the car park situated at the end of the road as the road bares to the right. Park here.

Car Parking:

Car parking is available at Coombe Hill, it is a busy free car park, but it is not manned and all cars and contents are left at owners own risk. Please refrain from leaving valuables in your car.
