Club Members Ride Report
Darren's Club Members Ride at Watlington
Our Watlington rides are normally very popular and this ride was no exception and went very well. This was definitely one of the best rides I've done so far for the Club; what a great bunch of people and the whole day was a great laugh. Five people attended altogether as two people dropped out the night before. One puncture and one mechanical all day, but nothing too drastic. We stopped off at Pishill Church for a coffee and luckily we managed to avoid the rain! Some very keen new members in attendance who I hope to see out on the trails again very soon - Darren.
Easter Sunday Swinley Forest Club Members Ride
Its tradition that any bank holiday weekend the weather is always grim, and even more traditional that we head out and embrace said weather for some holiday riding! Inevitably I ended up working Easter Sunday but our Club Treasurer Darren kindly stepped in to lead a loop around Swinley Forest near Bracknell. A keen team of new club members, most of which were attending their first club member only rides turned up, and all in five keen riders span around Swinley Forest enjoying some good conditions between the strong winds and heavy down pours...
BucksMTB at the 'Ard Rock Enduro 2015
The 'Ard Rock Enduro takes place in the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park. The route takes in natural rcoky descents including rock strewn terrain only rideable during the event itself. All the riding is incorporated into a big day out in the Dales and is topped off with live music, local grub, beer and a BBQ or two!
The 'Ard Rock Enduro is fast becoming one of the most popular and exciting weekends on the mountain bike calendar, it was only a matter of time before BucksMTB members wanted in on the action!
Coed-y-Brenin Club Members Away Day
Club members Dave, Kevin & Adam braved the weather and snowfall to meet up at Coed-y-Brenin on a cold day in January for some fun in the Welsh mountains. The rain, wind, sleet, hail & snow all added to the fun. The day was started by riding the red graded Dragons Back, followed by lunch back at the coed-y-brenin visitors centre. After lunch, Kevin & Adam rode the black graded Tarw trail.
Swinley Forest Club Members Ride
Another year gone and its January, which means everyone is out riding trying to burn off those mince pies. Our Swinley Forest club member ride on Sunday 18th January had a great turn out with twelve of us hitting the trails for a lap of the blue and red trails followed by much needed tea and cake! Thanks to all those who attended the ride!
