to Aston
Hill's
infamous
Black
Run on
Sunday
14th
March to
kick off
the 2010
race
season.
This
early
season
test
should
give a
good
indication
of the
riders
to watch
for the
2010
season
and
those
that
should
be
watched
because
of the
lack of
practice
over the
winter
months.
Will the
13th
year of
racing
on the
Black
Run be
lucky
for you?
As
always
it will
be a
great
day out
for all
the
family
and
Aston
Hill
Mountain
Bike
Club
will be
pulling
out all
the
stops;
full
digital
timing
from
Mikrotime,
catering
from
Cafe in
the
Woods and
all
the regular
trade
stands along
with some
big name
sponsors
in talks
to
support
the
series.
As ever,
there
are a
few
common-sense
essentials
for the
race.
Take a
minute
to read
through
the
following:
-
Riding
in the
the
park
is
shut
to
anyone
not
racing.
-
All
riders
MUST
wear a
full
face
helmet.
Aston
Hill
also
highly
recommends
that
you
wear
body
armour.
-
Bikes
should
be in
good
working
order.
-
Listen
to the
marshals
- they
are
there
for
your
safety.
-
Parking
in the
field
is £1
-
anyone
from a
vehicle
caught
parking
on the
verges
outside
the
park
will
be
DQ'd.
-
Number
plates
are
£5,
which
will
be
refunded
on
return
at the
end of
the
race.
Sign
on
opens
8am
Sunday.
You do
not
need a
BC
licence
to
race.
