The Big Welsh Weekend

The Big
Welsh Weekend is three days of biking located in and around Margam Park in South
Wales.
Friday starts the event off
with the
camp site open, Event Registration and the chance
to explore Margam with led rides of Margam or the option to head off to Afan/Glyncorrwg
for some MTB trail centre delights.
Saturday is your chance to
watch the action at Round 3 of the British XC Series with 400 of Britain's top
racers as well as Mark and Kris from bucksmtb as they race at lunch time in the
sport category race. There will be free races for the under 12s, and the chance
to take out demo bikes from some of the leading bike brands, or go out on
another led ride of Margam or again the option to go over to Afan to the trail
centre.
On Sunday there
is the chance to take part in the Marathon with your choice off 25km (one lap),
50km (half marathon, two laps) or go mad and do the full 75km three lap
adventure!
The weekend includes all of
the following:

Camping
and parking for you and a guest from Friday onwards with hot showers, toilets,
water and onsite catering available.

There
is also the option of entry into Margam Park to see its attractions.

You can
also access the course to watch all the racing action and enjoy the event
trade stands.

The led
ride programme will be held in Margam Park on the Friday and Saturday.

Entry
into the Big Welsh Weekend Marathon at your chosen distance 25/50/75k.

Well
stocked feed/water stations on Marathon Route.

Free
demo rides on Saturday and Sunday.
Bucksmtb will be there for the whole
weekend and not just the NPS race so come along and find us. We will also be
riding the marathon with our team spread out between all the three categories so
feel free to come along and ride with us. Bucksmtb are also planning on taking
along our pit tent, again so come along and find us all for a chat.
