BucksMTB "Golden Ball Runē" XC Group Ride May 2011
Event Review

Group Ride date: 29th May 2011

The next BucksMTB group ride is to be our May 2011 XC Group Ride. This event is open to BucksMTB Club Members and visiting riders (non Club members). Non club members are welcomed to join us for a ride (up to three) to see if you like the Club before joining.

This ride is open to Cross Country (XC) riders of all levels of ability, however due to the 25 miles route length a reasonable fitness level will be required. The event is not a race so the ride pace will be set to suit all riders on the day. The Group Ride will be a led route by our BMTB staff riders and will be held on local trails from Coombe Hill to West Wycombe before returning.

This event is free of charge.

The ride will be starting promptly at 10:30am so please be at the car park at Wendover Library in good time to get kitted up (especially if arriving by car) to avoid delays. Pay and display car park charges may apply. The ride WILL be starting promptly at 10:30am.

Route information for the day:

After the success of our "Golden Ball Run" route at a 2010 Summer Group Ride we have decided to run it again, this time to and from Wendover and we will be taking in some new trails from last time round. The route will be approximately 25 miles starting and finishing in Wendover town at the Library on the High Street. The route will take in some of the finest singletrack and fireroads in and around Coombe Hill, Chequers, Cadsden, Lacey Green, West Wycombe, Bradenham and Great Hampden. The routes from Coombe to the Golden Ball are the route from the Golden Ball from Coombe are both different to keep the ride varied and exciting.

For this ride leave yourself five hours as the ride time may depend on group and rider ability and the amount of "snack stops".

There is the option to join us for just for the first leg of the route if you wish (i.e. just ride Wendover to the Golden Ball)
