April's ride started at Coombe hill and headed out
towards Dunsmore, Great Hampden, Chequers, and
Whiteleaf before looping back round and heading back
towards Coombe Hill.
Rider feedback on the day again indicated
that despite being centered on an area familiar to
most riders we still managed to show the group some
new trails, which is all part of why we enjoy
putting on these group rides.
As seems to be becoming the norm for monthly
Bucksmtb rides this one was again characterized by
muddy trail conditions, which were particularly hard
work on the up hills!!
Despite the mud and slipping and sliding around,
everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and as usual
there was plenty of banter between the five riders
out with us. We might have spent the ride fighting
for grip in the mud, but we were at least lucky
enough to be blessed with sunshine on the ride,
infact it actually felt quite warm while we were out
- here's hoping that dry trails will follow just
around the corner.
A big shout of thanks must go out to everyone who
attended and made the day a great success, and
another big shout of thanks must go out to everyone
who helped organise and lead the days ride.
