Mix 96 Tour de Vale Bike Ride
Sunday 10th June 2007
Start/Finish @ Stoke Mandeville Stadium
June 10th sees the annual Mix 96 Tour de Vale bike ride reappear to
raise money for WheelPower, British Wheelchair Sport. The Tour
de Vale is a sponsored Charity bike ride and has been running
successfully for as many years as I can remember.
Ok so the event may not be a specialist mountain bike event, but with
three different length routes its a great social ride, training ride
or family ride. Its nice to get out on the quiet back roads sometime
for a chilled out ride.
Three routes will be available; a 15 mile 'family route, a 30 mile'
route for the 'leisure cyclist' and a challenging 50 mile route. New
for 2007 is the new 15mile business challenge - get your company to
get a team of riders out on the day to compete against other rival
Buckinghamshire Companies! The winning company will receive a outdoor
team building experience and challenge cup!!!
All the routes are well signposted and this year will be marshalled
and will also include bike mechanics on call along the routes. At the
start/finish at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium (the old Guttman sports
centre) there will be refreshments and a barbeque as well as the usual
appearances from local bike shops and mix 96.
Prices for the event are £10.00 each adult, under 16s £5.00 or a
family entry for £20.00 (2adults and up to 3 children).
Event organisers cannot be held responsible for personal injury,
accident, loss, damage or public liability.
