Club member, James Longland, is kindly organising a Welsh Weekender (North Wales) in July.

Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July.

The plan is to get there on early (ish 10am) Friday and ride one of the local trails at Nant Yr Arian near Aberystwyth.

On Saturday we have an early start (due to the volantry access agreement) because we will scale the highest mountain in Wales......mount Snowdon
before beginning our epic descent (routes up and down will be decided nearer the time. Depending on weather and trail conditions).
Once at the bottom we will stop for lunch with the possibility of another local trail once we have all recovered !

Sunday will be another ride, possibly at Nant Yr Arian or another local venue, before we depart back home.

With regards to costs I am anticipating this will be approximately £100 per person for Friday and Saturday nights accommodation. The cost of
this will vary depending on the amount of numbers, so at this time it is hard for me to give accurate prices, however these will be published in due course the organisers will endeavour to keep costs low.

You will of course need food and beer money as during the evenings; I'm sure we will be sampling the local Welsh curries !

James will be looking at Air BnB or something similar for our accommodation, however he needs to get a decent idea of numbers who is interested and who is 100% coming.

Can I please ask that if you are interested in this trip to please let James/The Club know ASAP.

One we get numbers we will look at accommodation etc and give more accurate costs.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Please can you get back to me by 1st February if you are planning to attend.

Location North Wales, various
This is a club trip organised through the club, all costs involved with the trip are the responsibility of each attendee.

A fantastic trail ride with some fast flowy single track, starting from Mickleham heading up to Box Hill for a well deserved ice cream and coffee stop! Final part of the day more fast, flowy and dry trails before heading back to a much needed and well deserved finish at the 51 degrees cafe for drinks and food. See you on the next ride!

  • Hope MTB Marathon Builth Wells - Club Members Away Days April 24

A couple of our club members rode at the Builth Wells marathon in central Wales, the original classic course, big mountain climbs and descents. See you on the next ride!
